An experiment

Intermittere.

Entry 44/365

A breaking off of life's routines...aka Half-Term.

from Latin intermissionem (nominative intermissio) "a breaking off, discontinuance, interruption," noun of action from past participle stem of intermittere "to leave off, leave an interval," from inter "between" (see inter-) + mittere "let go, send" (see mission).

Children need a break too. My son definitely does. Toward the end of the term, he is irritable, and his capacity to listen diminishes. My daughter is too young, thank God. It would be too much having two grumpy kids at the same time.

So today is the beginning of the break. His break, not mine. Well, I do have dreams of sitting and reading a book or working my way through my painting course. If it will happen then I leave to the threading ladies to decide.

I organized my life and the week around them. I am hoping I can pull it all off.

One day at a time, one thing at a time.

Intermissio to sleep and rest now. My week has just started.
